After you pass a skills proficiency test for SSW and N4 level at least in a Japanese language test, you can apply for SSW(i), which is the visa type that people who work as SSW get qualified for the next 5 years. While SSW(i), you can only stay 5 years at maximum and cannot bring your family from your home country to Japan. However after 5 years of experiences in Japan, you will have chance to apply for SSW(ii) if you newly pass the higher level of skills proficiency test. When you are qualified as SSW(ii), you can stay more than 5 years in Japan without any limitation, and bring your family to Japan as well. Currently, SSW(ii) system has been applied to only construction industry and Shipbuilding and ship machinery industry, but Japanese government is now considering to expand the scope of application to any other industries among 14 in the coming few years.
In case we will work as SSW, who will prepare accommodation?
Sometimes the company prepare accommodation for you, and sometimes Adecco helps you to find yours together with real estate agencies.
* Whether accommodation costs will be deducted from salary or not depends on each case.
To work on an SSW visa, is any special requirement/qualification needed?
You need to pass a skills proficiency test for SSW, and N4 level at least in JLPT (or A2 in JFT Basic) as well.
However, in case if you have been trained for past 3 years as a technical intern and now you're wishing to get your job as SSW in the same job field, you do not need to take any tests.
If you are currently outside Japan, our official partner(Local Sending Organization) in your country help you to find out the most appropriate job for you and then send you to Japan for Adecco.

From "Get offer" to "Start work" how long it will take?
It depends on the offer contents but basically from a few months to half a year.(In the case of SSW, it will relate to Visa work, it will require some time)
On "Interview session"what kind of topic we will have?
Work experience, why you want to work in Japan etc. Further, we want to know your future vision too.
Which language we will have for interview session?
The interview session will be held in Japanese as we want to check your Japanese language skill. But if you will face some difficulty to tell your experience with Japanese language skills, you can use English to explain it too.
